K. Dr. Payman completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UCLA Medical Center and affiliated hospitals. He went on to acquire additional training in spinal surgery with world-renowned Spinal Surgeon, Dr. Henry Bohlman, at one of the nation’s finest spine surgery fellowships. Dr. Payman has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and textbook chapters on spinal surgery, and he has appeared on various national and international media outlets discussing the advancements in spinal surgery.

Dr. Payman focuses on the comprehensive treatment of spinal disorders at Valencia Sports Medicine. He specializes in reconstructive cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery, and this includes advanced techniques which involve minimally invasive and microsurgical spinal procedures. He has extensive experience in the areas of degenerative spinal conditions, spinal deformities, motion preservation technologies, inter-vertebral disc replacement surgery, and complex spinal trauma.
